This course is provided in accordance with proposed mandatory guidelines for federal workplace drug testing programs!
You must have first completed this online course, "Be Ready to Collect Oral Fluid" Collector Course, in accordance with proposed mandatory guidelines for federal workplace drug testing programs using oral fluid specimens, to participate in this "Ready to Collect" train-the-trainer oral fluids class. Please understand that no actual final training certification under the proposed regulations can be issued prior to DHHS adoption of the regulations. We believe you will find this training of great benefit to you, your organization, and those you serve as you learn what DHHS’s initial observations are of what constitutes a proper oral fluid collection.
Once the final regulations are issued by DHHS, the SAPAA Training Institute will send participants in the course the final regulations and a commentary on any sections that differed from your online or mocks initial training. Participants will be offered training, at no additional charge, on any additional mock requirements or more recently marketed oral fluid collection devices. Once the additional training is complete, participants will receive a SAPAA Training Institute Certificate of Qualification under the final Mandatory Oral Fluid Specimen Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs.
To help you better understand how to collect an oral fluid specimen under the proposed U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) regulations, SAPAA's Training Institute has retained Mary Hines of SimplePath, a past SAPAA President and accomplished train-the-trainer of collectors, and Tommy Eden, as legal content provider of the SAPAA DER courses, to develop this course.
