Strategic Planning: OGSM Model

Elected by the membership, SAPAA's Board of Directors is trusted to direct the Association and collaborate in the pursuit of our mission in both the short and long term.  The OGSM Model (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures) is a formal means of communicating the goals and strategies of the Board to achieve the mission of SAPAA and helps prioritize attention, resources, and time spent on each strategy.  An ancillary benefit is to facilitate the transition of key initiatives to new board members, enabling success in long-term objectives as well as identifying what has previously been considered and not pursued.

The goals below were initiated in 2019.

 

GOAL #1:  Double our reach as an influential industry stakeholder.

Strategies:  Enhance and introduce solutions that SAPAA can develop and market in support of international testing.
 Strike alliances with other associations to expand our membership and influence.
 Expand the notoriety of exhibitors and influential speakers at our conferences.

 

GOAL #2:  Be rated the most trusted association for regulatory compliance and best practice information.

 Strategies:Monitor regulatory changes as feasible with resources available and respond with comments or notify members as appropriate.
 Ensure all training is brand-aligned, consistent, current, and accessible via the latest online learning tools to all members.
 Plan and execute a world-class conference and regional seminars.

 

GOAL #3:  Become the recognized leader in connecting industry stakeholders.

 Strategies:Support other industry associations' that align with our mission in their reach and impact.
 Provide member lookup feature on the SAPAA website.

 

GOAL #4:  Foster organizational stability.

Strategies:Expand the reach of our brand within all our business activities.
 Improve the financial stability of the organization.
 Foster leadership development.
